Love One Another
In his devotional, Guilty By Love by Pastor Matt Shull he poses a question that one of his professors had asked his class, “If you were on trial in a foreign country and your crime was being a ‘Christian’, would there be enough evidence to convict you?” Now, I know that in most cases if we are on trial for a crime we are aiming for a NOT GUILTY verdict, however, this question really convicted me. If this was what I was on trial for y’all…..I want a great BIG OLE GUILTY!! Gui

Shut Up & Dance
I recently watched a video series called Lyrics of Life by Lisa Harper on Right Now Media. The video was on Psalm 149 and 150. Lisa teaches that these are called Hallelujah Psalms as they both end with Hallelujah. These two psalms also show us that we can have fun with Jesus! They tell us to dance, sing, and play instruments. Psalm 150:6, says “Let everything that has breath PRAISE the Lord!” That means US! We were meant to have POP UP PRAISE PARTIES just to bring Him Glory!

Yield
The word YIELD on a traffic sign tells drivers to slow down, be prepared to stop to allow other vehicles, pedestrians or cyclists to go first. It is a warning sign to be cautious of what is ahead. The yield sign unlike the stop sign, doesn’t bring you to a halt, it just signals you to slow down & be aware of your present situation. Yesterday as I was pulling into the Tanger Outlet Malls to buy the perfect pair of Kate Spade shoes. (When I say perfect, y’all! My wardrobe needs

It Started With A T-Shirt
Back in July, I met my new friend, Jen, at an airport in Gunnison, Co. We were both boarding a flight headed back to Texas. As we were waiting for the plane, she noticed my hubby’s shirt that said, “Be Where Your Feet Are”. So she asked us about it and said that one of her friends says it all the time. So I began telling her about my trip to California to attend one of Bob Goff’s writing workshops to learn more about writing my book. While I was there Bob talked about being w

Abide
Today's devo from the Worship Initiative is so good and perfectly timed. The topic today was Abiding in Him and staying connected to the Vine. They talk about a vineyard being planted on the side of a mountaintop and the vines being purposely stressed, in turn creating a beautiful wine. You will have to listen to understand😉. AND If you haven't listened to the song Abide, you need to go check it out. Here's a brief snippet: "You're the way the truth and the life You're the w

Gaze Upon Him
I shared this verse on my Instagram account back in January because God had given me the word sparkle for the year and this is the verse He led me to that pairs with it. I love ❤️ love ❤️ love the Passion translation of this verse. “Gaze upon Him, join your life with His, and joy will come. Your faces will glisten with glory. You’ll never wear that shame-face again.” Well first of all, who doesn’t want that? Another version, the NLT, says “you will be radiant with joy.” Both

Psalm 23
I love reading different versions/translations of the Bible. It helps me to understand the content better, sometimes opening my eyes to parts of the verse that I may have missed in other versions. Today, I read the ever popular Psalm 23 in the The Passion Translation. I normally read the New International Version (NIV), which is one that many people are accustomed to reading or hearing in the movies. The NIV reads like this, “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes

The Lost Chapter
This was a chapter I originally had in my upcoming book He Is The Vine. Once the book was finished we decided that it didn’t quite fit the theme. So here it is for your reading pleasure It’s called WOTY’s aka Word of the Year. “I have hidden your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” - Psalm 119:11 (NIV) Have you heard about people choosing a "word of the year"? Maybe you've even picked one yourself. I've been following Christ for a while now, and honestly, I
